Commissions Information

I offer four types of wire:

• Bare copper wire, which has no coatings or refinements, making it the cheapest option.
• Brass wire, which similarly has no coatings, but is colored to resemble gold wire.
• Silver plated wire, more expensive than bare copper wire, as it has a thin layer of silver bonded to a copper metal core that will help the wire last longer. Please note that this wire cannot be soldered. If you wish to have a piece with soldered details, please choose from Bare Copper and Brass wire.
• Silver filled wire is the most expensive option, with the sterling silver coating being much thicker than that of silver plated wire. The silver filled wire we use is 1/10th sterling silver by weight, bonded to a brass core and a thin layer of nickel to make sure the silver does not react with the brass and therefore help it last longer. Please note that this wire cannot be soldered. If you wish to have a piece with soldered details, please choose from Bare Copper and Brass wire.

Important: If you are allergic or adverse to having nickel in your commissioned piece, please avoid choosing silver filled wire, as it has a thin layer of nickel coating beneath the silver.

Depending on the type of wire, the price may also change, with copper wire being the cheapest option and silver filled wire being the most expensive. Please keep these things in mind when considering placing a commission with me.

All prices below are base prices, meaning that they are the minimum price of the commission, based on the cheapest option using copper wire with no add-ons. Things that will increase the price are complex designs, wire used, number of flowers, not being able to provide a good visual reference, amount of detail in the piece in general, any additions to the piece, amount of time spent on the piece, etc.
